It's now official: Pantone's Color of the Year for 2025 will be Mocha Mousse, a soft and sophisticated brown shade that reflects the need for comfort and “indulgence in simple pleasures,” according to Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute. Pantone conducts a careful analysis of trends and color psychology that can influence a wide range of sectors, from fashion to design, from interior design to communication. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, explains that Mocha Mousse “is a color that invites us to slow down, take care of ourselves, and enjoy the small pleasures of life. Sophisticated and luxurious, yet classic and unpretentious, Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse extends the perception of brown associated with the idea of luxury,” concludes Eiseman.
The color brown, in various shades and tones, is very present in the collections of stoneware floor and wall tiles by Ceramica del Conca and Ceramica Faetano. Terre Garzate by Faetano, for example, offers both 20x20cm matt and glossy coffee-colored brick tiles. The same collection offers many shades in matching or contrasting tones that can be used in the same room.
Dark and very sophisticated mocha shades can also be found in the Dinamika Stone Edition series in the Pietra Pece version. For those looking for the warmth par excellence of wooden floors, the choice can only fall on Nabi Brown or the Native collection.
